The Rombach and Haas Black Forest Clock Factory was founded in 1894.
For the location they chose an old farmhouse in the middle of the town of
Schonach. Schonach later became a center for Cuckoo Clock production in the Black Forest
and has remained so to the present.
In the early years, manufacturing Cuckoo Clocks did not generate enough income to live so
the early clock makers had to to rely on the sale of groceries to make ends meet.
The clock making business slowly grew into a viable business as they produced more and more
of these special clocks. In the beginning of the 20th century the company produced only wall clocks.
Over the years the company has earned
an excellent reputation for the high quality of their Black Forest Clocks. The clocks produced
by our company are unique and extraordinary in design and quality. For this we receive recognition every year. |

...each is a one-of-a kind work of art ......
Because of the high degree of craftsmanship we demand for these productions, each is a one-of-a kind work of
art and can be customized to the desires of the purchaser. As an example, picture such a clock with a scene from
your own favorite golf course complete with it's own emblem, banners and colors! |

Three hundred years ago it was customary for shield painters to integrate the names and date on wedding clocks.
Today we can take advantage of the unlimited possibilities for decorating the shield clock - birthdays, anniversaries,
births and other celebrations, hobbies, interests, and even personal quotes can be included.
On the left is an example what could be on the middle of the clockshield:
Imagine the impression you would make when you hand a friend, business associate, or customer such a thoughtful and personal gift.
This clock would act as a daily reminder of your association.
Send us your ideas for your own clock...
Can a gift be more perfect? |
